Blood Donation Camp
"Blood Donation Camp" was conducted on 6.2.2023 by Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Guindy. 51 units of blood was donated.
National Youth Day Celebration
NSS volunteers participated in the Online National Youth Day programme, organized by NSS DOTE & Government Polytechnic College, Karur on 12.01.2023.
National Volunteer Blood Donation Day 2022
The Chennai District Aids Prevention and Control Unit celebrated the National Volunteer Blood Donation Day 2022 for Chennai District on 26.12.2022 at District collectorate singaravelvar maligai Raja Salai Chennai.
Our college was honoured with a shield and certificate for contributing Blood Donation Continuously.
Blood Donation Camp
Voluntary Blood Donation camp was organized by NSS and NCC units jointly with Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital, Ambattur on 20.9.2022. 43 units of blood were collected during this camp. Donors were honoured by Appreciation Certificate.
Women's Day Celebration 2021
Women's Day was celebrated on 8th March 2021. Awareness Programme on Health was conducted by Dr.Sutharsika from Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital to all girls students and female staff members.

NSS Unit of Murugappa Polytechnic College has been adjudged as the "BEST NSS UNIT" for the year 2019-20 by the Directorate level NSS award Committee. Awards received by our principal DR K. S Sudhagar.

NSS Volunteer Selvan V.Balaji has been adjudged as the "BEST NSS VOLUNTEER" for the year 2019-20 by the Directorate level NSS award Committee.

Fit India - Walkathon
FIT INDIA – WALKATHON programme was conducted on 18.01.2020 from Murugappa Polytechnic College Campus to Vaishnavi Nagar, Thirumullaivoyal at 8.00 a.m.. Mr. P. Sampath Kumar, Sub Inspector of Thirumullaivoyal Police Station inaugurated this programme along with team members K.Ragasubramaniyan and S.Dinesh Kumaraswami. 50 volunteers participated in this programme.
Nilavembu Kudineer Distribution
As a prevention measure against Dengue, 'Nilavembu Kudineer' was distributed to all the students and staff members by NSS volunteers on 3.10.2019 & 4.10.2019.
Walkathon and Cyclothon
Commemorating 'World Elder's Day', AMM Matriculation School, Kotturpuram organized "Walkathon - 5 and Cyclothon - 3" on 28th September 2019. 12 volunteers participated in this event along with NSS Programme Officer G. Nallaiya.
NSS Day Celebration
Description: NSS Day was celebrated on September 24th, 2019 by organising motivational lecture on "Role of NSS volunteers towards society". This programme was conducted by Mr.K. Valliappan, AO. He advised the NSS volunteers to become role model in the society.
Appreciation for Blood Donation Camp
Thiruvallur, Government Head Quarters Hospital had given an appreciation Certificate to our Institution for conducting Blood Donation Camp on 09.08.2019. The same was handed over to Principal.
Fit India Movement Programme
A programme on "Fit India Movement" was conducted by NCC Officer A.A.Dhanraj and NSS Officer G.Nallaiya on 29.8.2019. They motivated the students to indulge in fitness activities. Students took the pledge of maintaining physical health.
Blood Donation Camp
Blood Donation Camp was conducted at Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital on 15th August 2019, to celebrate our Nation's 73rd Independence Day. Seven volunteers donated the blood and Donors were honoured by the certificate.
Eye Screening Camp
An "Eye Screening Camp" was organized by NSS unit jointly with "Dr.Agarwal's Eye Hospital" on 7.8.2019. A simple preliminary test was taken to all students and staff members.
Motivational Programme on Importance of Education
Motivational Programme on "Importance of Education" was conducted by R.K.Nandha Kishore, B.Tech.,M.A.,DTQM, Sigaram Arakkattalai on 26.2.2019. Drum show was conducted by nine years old Guinness Record Boy.
Health and Hygiene Programme
A programme on "Health & Hygiene" was organized by NSS units & "Little drops Hygiene for Health Trust", Ambattur on 28.2.2019. This programme was conducted by Dr.M.Natarajan,M.D., Dr.S.Rajamurali, M.D.,D.Ch, Dr.S.Varadarajan, M.S.,F.I.C.S., and Mr.Kathiraven, Editor & Publisher of Town News.
NSS Special camp
NSS Special camp was organized at Ezhil Nagar Park, Ayapakkam village from 2.3.2019 to 8.3.2019. The seven days programme included different social welfare activities, Awareness Programmes, Tree Plantation, Sports to school students and cleaning work in the adopted village.
Principal Dr.K.Sudhagar, G.S.Mohanraj, President of Sigaram Foundation, NSS Programme Officers and volunteers along with school students in the adopted village.
Principal addressed the gathering and distributed the prizes to the school students.

An awareness programme on HIV/ AIDS was conducted by Mrs. S. Samundeswari, ICTC Counsellor, Avadi Municipality Hospital on 26.12.2018.
Kulantaikalin Maveeran Nethaji
A Documentary film Kulantaikalin Maveeran Nethaji was screened on 31.12.2018 as per Government order and directions from the Collector of Thiruvallur District.
Fire Safety Programme
Fire Safety Programme was conducted by »ASET Environment Health & Safety Solutions», Maduravoyal on 1.2.2019 to create awareness about Fire Hazards and the safety measures which can be taken during fire emergency situations.
Awareness Programme On Communicable Diseases
An Awareness Generation Meeting on »Prevention and Control of Communicable diseases» was conducted by Mr.Manivarma, Lecturer in Medical Entomology, Madras Medical College and G.Loganathan, Health Inspector, Directorate of Public Health & Preventive Medicine on 5th February 2019. Students took an oath to eradicate dengue in their house and surrounding areas.
Power Of Mind
A Programme on "Power of Mind" was conducted by the "Youth Wing of Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation" on 8.6.2018. 50 NSS volunteers Participated in this programme.
Orientation Programme
Orientation Programme, the welcoming event for newly joined first year NSS volunteers was organized on 9.7.2018. NSS Programme Officer and Senior volunteers explained about the motto, symbol and theme of NSS through power point presentation.
Youth Awakening Day Celebration
The Birthday of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam was celebrated as "Youth Awakening Day" in our college on 15.10.2018. A seminar on "The developmental ideas propounded by Late Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam" was conducted to first year NSS volunteers by Mr. K. Valliappan, B.E., Administrative Officer.
Blood Donation Awareness Programme
Blood Donation Awareness Programme was conducted by NSS & NCC units in association with Lions Club, Avadi on 3.8.2017 to create general awareness among the students to donate Blood in saving the lives.
Orientation Course For NSS Programme Officers
Mr. G. Nallaiya, Lecturer/TDM attended "Orientation course" for NSS program Officers at Social Media Work, Egmore from 19.9.2017 to 25.9.2017.
First Aid Training & Workshop
NSS volunteers of second year attended a program on "First Aid Training & Workshop" held at our institution on 8.9.2017. Lions Club, Avadi conducted this program.
Medical and Health Camp
A free Medical and Health camp for basic blood test was organized on 12.10.2017 to all staff members by Thulasi Pharmacies India Pvt. Ltd.
NSS Special Camp
A seven days NSS Special Camp involving 70 students was organized at Ayapakkam, Ezhil Nagar Park from 21.2.2018 to 27.2.2018. The theme of the camp was "Youth for Cleanliness". 86 students and 3 staff members were participated in this camp.
As a part of special camp activity, Meditation and Breathing Yoga practice was given to the volunteers in the morning session. Awareness programmes on Dental Care, Health Care, Fire Safety, Leadership Motivation through social service, Road Safety and Drug Abuse were conducted during this camp. Saplings were planted at various places of Ayapakkam. NSS volunteers conducted games to school students and prizes were given to all participated students.
Blood Donation Camp
A 'Voluntary Blood Donation Camp' was organized by NSS units and NCC jointly with Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University on 1.8.2016. 71 units of Blood was collected during this camp. Camp was inaugurated by our Principal Dr. K. Sudhagar, NSS officers & NCC officer.
Holy Trinity Ratha Yatra
50 NSS volunteers with NSS Program Officer Mr. G. Nallaiya, Lecturer/TDM participated in 'Holy Trinity Ratha Yatra' from Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Ashrama, Ambattur held on 12.8.2016.
International Coastal Cleaning Day
Seven NSS volunteers with NSS Program Officer Mr. G. Nallaiya, Lecturer/TDM participated 'International Coastal Cleaning Day' at Beasant Nagar Beach on 17.9.2016.
NSS Special Camp
NSS Special Camp was organized at Adi Dravider Welfare Primary School, Arakambakkam Panchayat from 22.2.2017 to 28.2.2017. The theme of the camp was "Youth for Cleanliness".
At the adopted village, A Rally on "Drug Abuse" was conducted to create awareness among the people. During this camp, Awareness programme on Health care, Road Safety and Learning skill was conducted. Laughing Yoga Practice was given to volunteers. NSS volunteers planted trees at various places and conducted games to school students.
