Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die)
We have conducted a Technical Certificate Programme on "CATIA" for upgrading the Employability skills of our final year students for a duration of 70 hours. The course details of CATIA program is enclosed herewith.  
About the Department

Department of Tool & Die Making was established in 1996 to offer 3 ½ years Sandwich Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die) under World Bank Assistance. This course develops technicians in the specialized area of Tool and Die Making to meet industrial demand. With added experience there is lot of scope for these Diploma holders to become Entrepreneurs or to get overseas employment. The approved strength of this course is 30.

Being a Sandwich Diploma course, students undergo two spells of industrial training each 6 months during their 4th and 7th semester.

  • Elevate as an ethical entrepreneur and serve the society by attaching themselves with professional bodies like TAGMA, AIEMA, ISTE etc.
PSO1 Prepare Tool drawing with tolerance and produce die & mould part by operating conventional / Non-conventional machine tools.
PSO2 Design and fabricate Press Tools, Plastic Moulds, Jigs & Fixtures for customized requirement.
PSO3 Apply learned knowledge and skills in the design and development of a project work in the field of Tool & Die Making with team working and present the same in a professional way.
PSO4 Apply methods to improve productivity such as Management Planning (MP) Tools, QC Tools, SQC Tools, TQM concepts.
