Guest Lecture on Industrial Automation & PLC and SCADA

Department of Electronics Robotics organized the Guest Lecture on the topic of “Industrial Automation " on 18.07.2024 from 10.30 A.M to 12 Noon for III Year V Semester Students (23). The Resource person is Mr.S.Hariharan from “Axis Global Institute of Industrial Training Institute (AGIIT)” with a team of two trainers. The students from III Year V semester actively participated to enrich the knowledge in the Basics of Industrial Automation, PLC and SCADA.

Guest Lecture on Vestas Wind Turbine

Department of Electronics Robotics has organized the Guest Lecture in the topic of “Vestas Wind Turbine" on 01.10.2022 Saturday at 12.00 Noon to 1.00 P.M for III Year V Semester Students. The Resource person is Mr. Kishore Kumar B.E , Planner-Taiwan, Vestas Wind Technology Pvt Ltd. The students from III Year V semester were actively participated to enrich the knowledge in the Design concept of Vestas Wind Turbine.

Guest Lecture on Basics of Industrial Automation

Department of Electronics (Robotics) of Murugappa Polytechnic College organized a Guest lecture on 18.08.2022 in the Topic "Basics of Industrial Automation" in the Venue of Siemens lab at 12.00 P.M The Resource person is Mr.E.Hareesh Kumar, Director operations of PUMO Technovation Pvt Ltd. Students from III Year V semester enriched their knowledge in the basics of Automations.

Guest Lecture on Design of Car Interiors

Department of Electronics Robotics organized the Guest Lecture in the topic of "Design of Car Interiors'' on 13.08.2022 Saturday from 1.45 P.M to 3.30 P.M for III Year V Semester Students (33) at Siemens lab. The Resource person is Mr. M. Nanda kumar B.E, Mechanical Design Engineer, Alstom Transport India. He is well experienced in the Design of Interior cabins of Renault Nissan, Renault kwid and Tata Harrier cars. The students from III Year V semester were actively participated to enrich the knowledge in the design of interior car cabins.

Significance of Automation and Robotics

Department of Electronics Robotics has organized the Guest Lecture on the topic "Significance of Automation and Robotics" on 21.04.2022 (Thursday) from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. for III Year VI Semester Students. The Resource person is Mr.Nagarjun.M, Application Engineer, AGIIT, Chennai. The 29 students from VI semester were actively participated to enhance their knowledge in Automation and Robotics.

A Motivational session by Successful Entrepreneur

Department of Electronics Robotics has organized the Guest Lecture on the topic of "A Motivational session by Successful Entrepreneur" on 09.04.2022 Saturday at 10.30 A.M to 11.30 A.M for III Year VI Semester Students(29). The Resource person is Mr. S. Gokula Krishnan B.E, CEO and Founder of Go Tech solutions private Ltd. The students from III Year VI semester were actively participated to enrich the knowledge in the Entrepreneurship.

Basics of Mechanical Transmission of Gear Box

Department of Electronics Robotics has organized the Guest Lecture in the topic of "BASICS OF MECHANICAL TRANSMISSION OF GEAR BOX" on 22.10.2021 Friday at 2.30 P.M for II year III Semester , III year V semester Students and Electronics Robotics department Faculty members. The Resource person is Mr. S. Sivachandran B.E., MBA, Senior sales Engineer, Bonfiglioli Transmission Private Limited, Chennai, India. The total no. of students participated is 62 and total no. of faculty members attended is 6.

Industries and the Role of ERP

Department of Electronics Robotics has organized the Guest Lecture on the topic "INDUSTRIES AND THE ROLE OF ERP'' on 18.09.2021 Saturday from 11.30 A.M to 12.30 P.M for II year III Semester Students and Faculty members. The Resource person is Mr. S.Sathya Narayanan B.E, working as a SAP consultant in Kaar Technologies,Chennai. He has presented the lecture in the Enterprise Resource Planning in industry applications and Expectations from Job seekers and other general aspects.A total of 33 Students and 6 Faculty members of the Department attended the Guest lecture.

Entrepreneurship Skills and Development

Department of Electronics Robotics has organized the Guest Lecture on the topic "Entrepreneurship Skills and Development'' on 19.08.2021 Thursday from 11.30 A.M to 1.30 P.M for Final year VII Semester Students and Faculty members. The Resource person is Mr. M.S. Rakesh B.E, M.B.A, Managing Director ,M/s 9 Gems Agro Fuels. He received the best Small Scale Industry Award in 2017 provided by SIDISSIA and Best Entrepreneur-District level award in 2018 provided by MSME government of Tamilnadu. A total of 26 Students and 6 Faculty members of the Department attended the Guest lecture.

Invent Robotics

Department of Electronics Robotics has organized the Guest Lecture on the topic "INVENT ROBOTICS'' on 17.09.2021 Friday from 2.30 P.M to 3.30 P.M for III year V Semester Students and Faculty members. The Resource person is Mr. E.NAVEEIN B.E, working as a Sourcing and supply chain specialist, Invent Robotics Manufacturers Bangalore. He has presented the lecture in the Mitra Robots Manufacturing in their firm and required softwares through PPT and working videos.A total of 29 Students and 6 Faculty members of the Department attended the Guest lecture.

Raspberry Pi

The Department of Electronics (Robotics) organized a Seminar on the topic "Raspberry Pi" for IV & VI semester students at our campus on 03.02.2020. C.Balaji Founder, Jarvis Technologies and G.Krishnamurthy Technical Executive, Jarvis Technologies were the speakers for this program.

Industrial Automation

Department of E(R) organized seminar in the topic "Industrial Automation" on 19.7.2019 at PCI lab. Mr.S.Manoj Prabhakar B.E, Application Engineer, Axis Global Automation, Ashok nagar, Chennai-83 was the speaker for this program.

Department of E(R) organized a Seminar on the topic "Robotics using arduino" for III & V semester students at our campus on 18.9.2019. Mr.Lithin K.Devasia B.Tech, Technical Leader, Networkz systems, Chennai was the speaker for this program.

Mr.P.Kalaiselvan Lecturer/E(R) gave a seminar on the topic "Google Class room" for III & V sem students on 10.9.19 at Robotics lab.

Department of E(R) organized the guest lecture on the topic "Embedded Controllers" for 6th semester & 4th semester E(R) students on 11.03.2019 (Monday). Dr.P.SIVASANKAR, Assistant Professor, NITTTR, Chennai - 600 113 was the speaker for this guest lecture.

Department of E(R) organized the guest lecture on the topic "IOT Based Control" for 6th semester E(R) students on 08.03.2019 (Friday). Mrs. Chenthamarai Selvam, Sr. Principal Scientist, CSIR - CSIO, Chennai was the speaker for this guest lecture.

GCR workshop on 29 & 30 Dec 2018

Murugappa Polytechnic College is the Zonal Center for the conduct of a Two days National level workshop on Gesture control Robotics on 29.11.18 and 30.11.18 organized by Finland labs in association with IIT Roorkee. Dr. K. Sudhagar, Principal, Murugappa Polytechnic College inaugurated this program by lighting the kuthuvilakku. Dr. R. Kalaivani, HOD/E(R) and Mr.T.Karthikeyan, Faculty Adviser/ Robotics Club Co-ordinated this event. Selvan. G. Appu, VII sem Electronics (Robotics) SW has been qualified for II level of competition in IIT Roorke – Robofeast 2019.
