Objectives
Women's Day Celebration - March 11th 2024
Women's Day was celebrated on 11th March 2024 at community hall from 4 pm to 6 pm. All the women staff of MPC participated. Counsellor, Mrs.Rajalakshmi, HOD Chemistry & WID Incharge Conducted and organised the programme.Motivational talk, Games for staff and cultural activities were part of the event. A gift was distributed to all the participants. Student volunteers from 1st years and 3rd year girl students assisted in conducting the event.
International Women's day celebration - 2024
International Women's Day was celebrated on 8.3.2024 (Friday) by organizing a styling workshop for girl students and female staff members. This programme was organized by the NSS unit and WID. Founder of iFashion Vogue Vault Academy, Fashion Designer Mrs.P.Ishwarya Lakshmi hosted the event. All the girl students and female staff members participated in this program.

Awareness programme on Suicide Prevention conducted under WID Cell of Murugappa Polytechnic College for the I year girl students by the Department of Psychology, Phase II campus of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute on 20.09.2023.

WID Programme
WID cell of Murugappa Polytechnic College organized a motivational programme for all the girl students on 21.07.2023. The Resource person was Ms.Insuvai , Retired English Professor, writer and public speaker.

A Motivational Speech on Social Media Abuse
A motivational speech was delivered by our Principal Dr.K Sudhagar , regarding the abuse of social media and the importance of emotional Wellbeing for the girl students under the Women in development cell of Murugappa polytechnic college on 19.10.22 Wednesday.
WID Awareness Programme on 17.09.2019
An awareness programme on safe, healthy and nutrition food was conducted on 17.9.19 (Tuesday) for all the I year girls and II year EEE and ECE girls under WID by Mr. G. Santhanarajan, Director, Consumers Association of India (CAI), T.Sadagopan, President, Tamil Nadu Progressive consumers centre-Pattabiram, and Mr. Somasundaram, Liason officer, Concert Trust, CAI.
Healthy lunch box contest for the girls was conducted by the Resource persons under WID. I year student of Monica of ECE (R) won the first prize and priyanka of Mech (R) won the second prize.
