Objective

To enable students converse fluently
To develop the four skills LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing) and use them effectively.
To facilitate students acquire proper listening & Speaking Skills.
The English club aims to develop all the four fundamental skills that are given due importance with the view of making students gain maximum knowledge and also develop their communication Skills.

The students will be provided with different activities like puzzles, Spell bee, crossword Puzzles, Extempore, Just a Minute, conversational Practice, Seminars, role play, Group Discussion, Description.

The activities would enable them to sharpen their cognitive and analytical skills and also improve their proficiency in English and understanding of the similarities and differences between English and their Mother tongue.

To provide an effective oral and written communication for the members to competently develop their English Language skills.

Mission

To provide opportunity to develop their skills and explore their abilities in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
To develop English learning programs and involve students participate in competitions.
To encourage students to speak English and promote English speaking environment.

Academic Year 2022-2023

The English Club organized a motivational session on “Ethics and Human Values” for the First year students and the English Club members of Second Year and Final Year by Karuna International, Chennai – 600 005 on 14th October 2022. SRI SAJJAN JAIN, President, Chennai Kendra Karuna International was the Chief Guest, SRI STEPHEN RAJ, Director Ads-e-Park was the main speaker and conducted activities for the students.

Academic Year 2019-2020

English Club conducted a competition on Cross word Puzzle, Word Scramble and Poster Writing on 21/01/2020.

Academic Year 2018-2019

First year English club members actively participated during the practice on various topics on 14/12/2018.

A Seminar on 'Motivation for Effective Communication' by Ms. Yogitha, Group HR, Murugappa Groups on 20/12/2018.

Academic Year 2017-2018

English Club Members participated in various activities - Word Hunt, Cross Word Puzzles, Word Construction and Picture Description.

Students actively participated in 'Word Hunt' Competition conducted on 22.01.2018

Academic Year 2016-2017

Organized a motivational Programme for the student members on 29.12.2017. Prof. A.Vijayakumar, Chief Mentor – Founder President, I.N.D.I.A. TRUST (Spell Bee) motivated the students to overcome their fear and speak in English.

The English club conducted different activities to develop their language skills and also conducted competition for the students in Word Search, Word construction, Cross Word puzzles and picture description on 19/01/2017 & 20/01/2017.

Academic Year 2015-2016

Activities for students to develop their vocabulary puzzles on 26/08/2016 and Picture Reading was given on 22/09/2016 & 29/09/2016.
